Outpatients and endoscopic examinations are scheduled by phone or directly at the X Department of the First Surgical Hospital and the box office of the Polyclinic of the Clinical Center of Serbia. Contact telephone: 011/3663-703. Prior undergoing endoscopic examination, the patient must obtain indication by the attending physician from the Department. When scheduling the endoscopic examination, it is obligatory to underline the type of examination, because the number of daily performed endoscopies is limited by time and technical reasons.
The term of the scheduled examination implies the time interval planned for ambulatory healthcare for outpatients at the Polyclinic, i.e. endoscopy office, meaning that all patients are scheduled in the same term, and are summoned for their turn according to the number of the illness history kept in the Polyclinic box office (patients of poor general condition have priority).
Such mode of work has proved as most efficient, while patients, by respecting the scheduled term, will make our work easier. At the same time, the model of scheduling examinations is the only one possible as every Monday we also perform a certain number of unscheduled examinations of patients with severe general condition or complete inability to swallow, the condition of which does not allow postponement of examination. Because of all abovementioned, a term on Thursdays has been introduced that is reserved for hospital and endoscopic check-ups of patients who have undergone surgery at our Department.
Thank you on your understanding.
